The "Jehovah's Witnesses"
Any organisation that gathers recruits as aggressively as those who call themselves ‘Jehovah’s Witnesses’ should be examined and questioned. As should the self-proclaimed 'prophet' who started the organisation, a man named Charles Taze Russell.
The questions we should be asking are obvious: Are these people who they claim to be? Are they preaching the truth? And, what sort of man was Charles Taze Russell?
To those whom belong to the organization, the title of ‘Jehovah’s witness’ is more than just a name. It becomes their identity – a source of pride – a boast!
From this point on, I will not call them ‘Jehovah’s Witnesses’, because I do not believe that they are who they claim to be. In fact, I am sure they are not, so I will simply refer to them as J.W’s.
Sadly, those who disagree with the J.W’s are usually arguing one set of denominational traditions against another. And (just like the J.W’s) they simply ignore any scripture that does not line up with their own tradition. This is an approach that does not help anyone. The truth is that we all need to repent, until our thinking is completely in line with the gospel.
